Being conscious of environnemental considerations, Marotte is placing its industrial strategy in line with ecological standards and adjusting its research and development efforts towards eco-design.

P.E.F.C.

Marotte has since 1992 embarked on a patch of sustainable development, which is todeay reflected in its PEFC label. This label is an ecological guarantee of the sustainable management of forest resources and of the traceability of the wood we use in our products. Suutainable forest management allows the ecological, economic and social effects of human activity on forest to be managed so that their resources can in this way be protected.
The Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC) has shown massive expansion within a few years.
 

F.S.C.

In 2010, Marotte has obtained FSC (Forest Stewardship Council). This label provides a credible link between raw material supplied from controlled harvesting forests and a responsible production process. FSC certification enables to make an informed choice towards products issued from environmentally appropriate, socially beneficial and economically viable forest management and manufacturing process.
 

H.Q.E. Development (Hight Environnemental Quality)

Marotte products meet the current targets set as part of the Hight Environnemental Quality project :

• Acoustic satisfaction:

Marotte prodcuts are available with perforations that enable and enhance acoustic correction. This offer complies with reverberation room absorption standards and is appropriate for use in buildings meeting NF EN ISO 20354, ISO 354 amendment and NF EN ISO 11654. Marotte has since 2005 held the official certificate for our range of acoustic products.

• Low-pollution work sites :

Marotte products are factory-crafted, installation-ready products. They do not require additional on-site cutting or machining. Our product installations do not generate any pollution or waste; the only waste to be managed results from our packaging which is almost entirely made of wood and therefore non-polluting and easily recycled.

• Visual pleasure :

All Marotte products are made from genuine wood, and are therefore naturally sourced, enabling them to blend into the natural environnement. This natural feature creates real visual pleasure owing to the warmth of their appearance.

• Energy management, humidity-controlled comfort:

Our wood-based products are inherently suitable for thermal insulation .

• Care and maintenance :

Marotte products do not require special care or maintenance and in this respect are therefore not consumption-intensive with regard to cleaning products.
